3erfestival2014The 3rd. National Charro Championship will be carried out from January 30th to February 2nd of 2014 in the Vallarta Arena in the city of Puerto Vallarta.

In this event there will be the presence of 24 of the best teams of the country, including the last national champions, as well as the participation of seven escaramuzas. Likewise the president of the Organizing Committee of this event, Mr. Alfonso Bernal Romero, informed that this Championship has other events around it, like the Second Lassoing of Las Estrellas, the Third National Open Lassoing and the traditional 'Maleconeada', as well as the presentation of Julio Preciado and the double final to close the festivity.

The activities of this National Charro Championship 2014 will begin on Wednesday January 29 with the opening of the Photography Expo “Me Gusta el Deporte Charro”, of the Dr. Antonio Pliego Jiménez, in the city hall of Puerto Vallarta, starting at 19:00 hours. Afterwords at 20:30, there will be the Festival of Mexican Traditions in the Arches of the Pier, with the presentation of the Ballet Xiutla y the Mariachi Real of America, as well as a flower exhibition and singers.

PROGRAM OF THE EVENT:

Thursday January 30th: In the Hacienda Serena Chapel there will be a mass at 14 hours and at 15:30 the inaugural act. Since 16:00, they start up the action with the presence of the squadrons Santo Cristo (Coah), Charros de Nayarit and Hacienda Serena –host-, with the beauty of the horsewomen Las Nayaritas.

There will be the presentation of the Mariachi Navidad de Mascota, Jalisco, and at 16 hours the competition will start in between Rancho Las Cuatas (Nay), Tres Potrillos (Jal), Rancho Agua Santa (Jal) and Perla del Pacífico (BC), mounted by mujeriegas from the Rancho Los Olivos of Jalisco.

And at 19:30 there will be the Lassoing of Las Estrellas, the presentation of the escaramuza Tuitán of Zacatecas and the 3rd Open National Lassoing with which the website decharros.com celebrates its XI anniversary. And at 23 hours, the traditional Maleconeada.

Saturday February 1st: Will lasso: Tamariz CYM (Pue), national champion 2013 and of this tournament; Rancho El Edén (EdoMex), sub champion 2013; Tres Regalos (Q. Double final will have this 3rd National Great Prize 2014! The judges of this Great Prize 2014 will be Javier Martínez García (EdoMex), Fernando Bravo Hernández (Hidalgo), José Luis Casillas Macías and Rogelio Sánchez Elizondo both from Jalisco. The escaramuza judge will be: “Luvy” Mata (Jal).
