Puerto Vallarta Commemorates International Day of Persons with Disabilities

personwithdesaWith the opening of the Expo-Labor Briefing on the parade ground and an artistic event in which dozens of children, youth and adults showed their talents in various disciplines, were launched in Puerto Vallarta the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, held on December 3, which aim to promote the social integration of this sector and promote equal opportunities.

This event is part of the activities that the City Council Care and Inclusion for People with Disabilities (Comudis) in Puerto Vallarta, promotes to raise awareness and bring about the importance of making this an accessible and inclusive city for all removing barriers and opening the doors to a peaceful coexistence among all social sectors.

Regard Comudis technical secretary, Rebecca Jimenez Mendoza, announced that this time was prepared an intensive program involving all organizations, schools and agencies that serve the disability issues, who since last December 1 and up to the 12th, will be presenting some of the products and activities carried out in favor of this sector, in addition to informing the public on what their role and how they contribute to the development of their communities

Also from Tuesday until next Thursday, will be given a forum for public servants, students, business and tourism service providers, so that they know how they can provide appropriate care for people with disabilities, they open the door to work and begin laying the foundation for accessible tourism in which not only provide for ramps, but also other measures such as menus and brochures in Braille or visual, that allow for the care and service requiring the person according to his disabilities. To conclude this series of activities, 7 and 8 will be held sporting events.

At the opening of the Expo-Job Briefing was attended by the aldermen Candelaria Villanueva Sanchez, representing Mayor Ramón Guerrero Martínez, and Luis Gonzalez Munguia, who along with the owner of Comudis, toured the various stands that make up this shows, knowing the work that each of the participating institutions and the products they produce.

Note that in Punjab there are only three Municipal Councils Care and Inclusion of People with Disabilities, Puerto Vallarta being the pioneer not only in the state but nationally, so purposely that date, the Council also welcomes its tenth anniversary working resolutely towards inclusion and wellbeing of people with disabilities and the hand of the current City Council, will continue joining forces with the company for better living conditions and development for this sector.
