Hello Vallarta Today Readers, I want to introduce myself; I'm Alfonso " Poncho" Davalos, and I'll be your reporter of things that I'm sure will be important for you. I do Real Estate in town. I want to talk a bit about myself; I moved to Puerto Vallarta in 2008, I was planning on staying for one year than after the famous swine flu, I decided to extend my stay in the area to see and try the famous "high-season" that a lot of locals told me.

Now in 2021 has been quite a time, and I'm still here in town. So when clients of mine ask me why I choose Vallarta to live instead of my hometown Nuevo Leon, here are the reasons.

Reason 1. The quality of life: living in a beach town after living in a big city (the second biggest city in Mexico ). People from Jalisco would tell you another story.

Reason 2. How warm the people are here. I mean, in Mexico we are friendly, but here is more than that; for example, when I was looking for a place to live back in 2008, walking on the streets, I saw a for rent sign I remember they told me was already rented, but on the corner were those ladies with their kids. They told me a friend had a place for rent just a few blocks from that location, and that's how I found my first place over five de Diciembre.

Reason 3. The fabulous color that our mountains have in the rainy season.

Reason 4. That we can change scenario if we want, we can go to the ocean and maybe tomorrow we can go to San Sebastian del Oeste which is a couple of hours driving from here, and it's one of the marvelous magic towns that we have.

Reason 5. How pet-friendly the city is.

Reason 6. The sense of community that we have doesn't matter if you have no money, a lot of money, straight, gay, bisexual, trans, etc. All of us here are human beings.

Reason 7. It is a lot of work for everyone here.

Reason 8. I was able to rebuild myself after a breakup, before I moved here, and meet my long-life friends.

Now, it's your time to share why you love Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit with me.
