With Cars character Tribute was paid to the Formula-1 driver
Disney and Pixar paid tribute to Mexican Formula-1 driver Sergio "Checo" Pérez with a unique piece inspired by "Cars", the hit animation released in 2006. The companies joined forces with Mattel to create this personalized tribute to "Checo" Pérez, which was presented to him in recognition "for his achievements and contributions to motorsports," according to Disney. The car -characterized as "Checo" Perez- is in a scale of 1:55 and is part of the "Lightning McQueen" team. "I am very grateful to Mattel and Disney for this tribute, in which they immortalized my character with a themed cart. The cart has my number and logo and every detail is spectacular. Cars' is one of my favorite movies and even more so now that Chequito loves it," commented "Checo" Perez upon receiving his personalized car. According to Disney, this tribute is part of the "Radiator Springs All Stars" campaign, which seeks to inspire children.
This happened while Sergio finishes finalizing the details for the 2022 Formula 1 campaign, which will start next March 20 in Bahrain, a place he knows to perfection and where he is currently testing with his team, and where his results have been optimal and competitive, so this season looks more than promising for the Aztec and his fans.Sergio Michel Pérez Mendoza, also known as Checo, is a Mexican racing driver who began his career in single-seaters in 2004.
