Puerto Vallarta, Jal: The office of Public Service is inviting everybody to bring or have their old Christmas trees delivered at their facilities, from where the trees will be taken to their final destination.
This is done so that Christmas trees used during the holidays won’t be left out on the roads, or burned on the streets.
Guillermo Salcedo Contreras, in charge of public services, informs that the Christmas trees can be brought starting this Monday, 136 Pelicanos St. in Los Sauces from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“People need to be reminded that these trees are not disposed of as regular trash. Once we gather the trees, we take them to San Nicolas where they will be processed and mixed with the pruning collected in the city”, he added.
He also emphasized the importance of having the old Christmas trees brought to their facilities because the trucks that are used for the pruning will not be picking up trees left out on the road
