The National Seismological Service (SSN) recorded an earthquake measuring 5.7 degrees on the Richter scale, whose epicenter was located 61 kilometers east of Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas, in the early hours of Sunday.

The body of the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) said that according to the preliminary report, the ground motion occurred at 04:07 hours at the coordinates 14.62 degrees latitude and -91.59 degrees longitude, and 69 kilometers deep.
