Health Services of Nayarit, taught the course of "Youth Leaders in Sexual and Reproductive Health"

Health Services of Nayarit, taught the course - Summer Workshop "Youth Leaders in Sexual and Reproductive Health" for young people between 13 and 17 years old, with the inform and raise awareness for a healthy sexual life.

During the opening ceremony, representing the Secretary of Health, Oscar Villasenor Anguiano, the head of the Directorate of Health Services of Nayarit, Javier Rosas Riosegura thanked the presence and participation of over 100 young people who were part of the workshop, will give more evidence to know their body and how they can take care of it, especially in sexual matters.

"The purpose is to provide the theoretical elements in leadership and basic aspects of sexuality, understand the care they should have with their health in the adolescent period in which they live, thus contributing to the promotion, dissemination and quality of these services among the population colonies or towns," said Rosas Riosegura.

Among the topics to be addressed during the course - workshop were: strategies for successful teamwork, profile and functions of youth promoter, guidance and prescription of contraception, emergency contraception, STI prevention, safe and protected sex among other.

This course is primarily aimed at young promoters that interact directly with adolescents and their areas of influence, and then perform the activities for young people in their environments.
