The Pan American Sports Organization, chaired by Mr. Mario Vázquez Raña, met in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on January the 10th thru the 13th, 2015.
Representatives of the 41 NOCs members of PASO, of the 36 Pan American Sports Confederations, various International Federations and numerous guests met at this Mexican resort to analyze the work carried out in the previous year and determine the main objectives for the upcoming period.
On January the 10th, the Technical Commission, the Athletes Commission and the Special Commission in charge of preparing the possible amendment of the PASO Statute will hold working meetings.
The themes analyzed in the PASO meetings include: reports by the Organizing Committees of the Toronto 2015 and the Lima 2019 Pan American Games; the PASO Anti-Doping Rules Draft and the fulfillment of the Pan American Olympic Solidarity Program, of which the Pan American Sports Festival held last year may be highlighted.
The PASO meetings in Puerto Vallarta consolidate the support provided by the NOCs to Toronto regarding the upcoming Pan American Games.
