KAREN JACOBSON WINS A 2ND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Karen who just took her 3rd National SUP Surfing Championship a couple ofdays has now wrapped a sweep of the National Championships In Manzanillo this weekend by winning the final 5 mile sprint race to eliminate all of the other girls. She now holds 2 of the 3 National Surfing titles in Mexico for the 3rd year and in a few weeks will be trying to capture the final surfing title as well, somethingthat no one has ever done before. Sort of like the Triple Crown. She is returning to Puerto Vallarta Monday after a grueling training tour that included stops and intensive training in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca and Cancun. She had an accident in Oaxaca with a giant wave that almost ended the tour for her but fortunately recovered sufficiently to go on and take the titles. She will be spending the next few weeks recovering under the care of Dr. Max Greig a well known Puerto Vallarta orthopedic surgeon and trauma specialist.
