Mexico took the silver medal in the discipline of fencing, foil mode by teams losing in the final to his counterpart in Venezuela with score of 45 points to 42, in event corresponding to the Central American Games and of the Caribbean held in the gym at the Universidad Veracruzana in Xalapa, Veracruz.
The Aztec team formed by the Nayarit Jesús Ernesto Beltrán Macías, Daniel Gómez, Raúl Arizaga and Aarón Rodríguez made their debut before his counterpart of Nicaragua who defeated 45 points to 9, then defeated Puerto Rico 45 by 25 and in the final fell to the Venezuelans with tight score of 45 by 42.
The Caribbean represented by Antonio Leal, Victor Leon, Luis Núñez and Eliecer Romero showed up at this event bowing the favorite Cuba with score of 45 for 36, then beating Guatemala 33 45.
In this, event participated eight teams, led by Venezuela, Mexico, Guatemala (the first three in the table), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Nicaragua.
