Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit will visit Montreal, Toronto, New York and Philadelphia from October 23 – 31 to promote the region along with the “Live it to believe it!” campaign spearheaded by the MTB

As part of a joint promotional effort Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit are undertaking a promotional tour from October 23 – 31, which will include their participation in the International Tourism and Travel Show (ITT) in Montreal, the most important travel event in Canada, in order to attract a larger number of tourists from this region.

The tour is part of the promotional campaign led by the Mexico Tourism Board (MTB) using the slogan “Vallarta-Nayarit Live it to believe it!” It will make stops in Montreal, Toronto, New York and Philadelphia.

A press conference will be held on October 29th during the tour and will include the top media outlets in New York City. The executives from the Convention and Visitors Bureaus from Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta will be present to highlight each destination’s new attractions.

“We’re visiting the top agents in every one of these cities offering presentations that will allow each destination to showcase its attractions and any new tourism offerings in the region. We’re also engaging in media interviews with top outlets,” said Guillermo Ohem, Director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust.

The presentations are intended to reach a considerable number of travel agents as well as a general audience through interviews with the premier media outlets that lead the way in the tourism industry. This will serve to reinforce efforts currently underway with the airlines to increase the number of incoming tourists.

“As we’ve stated before, we’ve been able to increase the number of flights to our destination through the Vallarta-Nayarit campaign. Now, all of the promotional efforts we’re putting into place are helping people make the decision to get on those planes, come visit us and have the time of their lives. This way we’ll see both an increase in tourism and growth in our economy,” said Marc Murphy, Director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau.
