The Taco is Mexico's Seal of Fame in the World.
The taco is much more than a dish in Mexico; it is a cultural identity, a symbol of tradition, and a way of life. Since pre-Hispanic times, the tortilla has been the foundation of the Mexican diet, and over time, it evolved to become the taco, a food that represents the country's creativity, history, and gastronomic diversity.
The taco is a reflection of the essence of Mexico: accessible, versatile, and delicious. It doesn't distinguish between social classes or regions, because in every state and every home there is a unique version, with its own ingredients and styles.
Furthermore, it is a food that brings people together, whether at a street stall, at the family table, or at a big party. Eating tacos is about sharing, enjoying, and celebrating life.
Foreigners consider the taco the emblem of Mexican cuisine for several reasons:
- Authentic flavor and explosion of textures
The combination of meat, vegetables, salsas, and tortillas creates a unique experience for the palate. Each bite is a balance of intense and fresh flavors that delight anyone.
2. Infinite variety
There isn't just one type of taco; there are hundreds: tacos al pastor, carnitas, cochinita, seafood, suadero, barbacoa... and each with its own magic! Foreigners find the diversity of options fascinating.
3. Culture and tradition in every bite
Trying a taco is like immersing yourself in the history of Mexico. Each region contributes its special touch, and each recipe has a cultural background that makes it even more special.
4. Street food with soul
The best tacos aren't always found in fancy restaurants, but in small street stalls where the aroma of grilled meat and warm tortillas create an irresistible atmosphere.
5. An accessible and social meal
Eating tacos is a social event. They are eaten with your hands, shared with friends and family, and there's always a spicy salsa that tests your courage.
For all these reasons, the taco has conquered palates around the world, becoming the quintessential ambassador of Mexican cuisine and the undisputed favorite of those who visit Mexico.
The taco is a living cultural expression of Mexican cuisine. The taco is also one of the dishes that gives Mexico its identity worldwide. As such, a special day is dedicated to it.
Nationally (March 31st), the Taco Fair has been held in Puerto Vallarta for eight years.
In its eighth edition, the Taco Fair arrives at the esplanade of the Puerto de Luna hotel, in the heart of Puerto Vallarta's North Hotel Zone. Local taquerias and restaurants will present more than 40 varieties of exquisite tacos: carnitas, seafood, suadero, and much more. The event program also includes live music, craft beer and mezcal tastings, fresh waters, and desserts.
Admission is free to the general public. Hours are from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

there is a taco that enchants, that invites you to dream.

with mango, avocado, and a good amount of heat.

everything is welcome in a Vallarta taco.
In the smoky corner of an artisanal stand,
or on gala tables with a special touch.
Crispy, golden, wrapped in flavor,
every bite is a journey of love.
With fiery sauces that tell stories,
with masterful hands that hold memories.

a world in a tortilla that always captivates you.
