Honduras National Soccer Team faces off against Mexico tomorrow Friday the 22nd of March 2013 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras at 3:00 PM Honduras Time (5:00 PM New York Time).

So yes, this Honduras vs Mexico is a qualifying match for Honduras to get to the world cup in Brazil in 2014.

We all thought that our match vs the USA on February 6th was the key game of the CONCACAF Hexagonal but guess what; it seems that since we defeated the USA (We WON that game playing soccer!) and Mexico did not win its first match of the Hexagonal everyone around the world including ESPN is going crazy because Honduras is in FIRST PLACE in the Hexagonal. Unfortunately they are saying we don’t deserve it and are not world class and if all goes well Honduras will defeat Mexico tomorrow afternoon and everyone will say it was because of the weather in San Pedro Sula (it gets hot there and Mexico is not used to that).

Played by millions around the world, soccer is the heart and soul of Honduras. Even in extremely “down” times, Hondurans will stop what they are doing and watch live on TV, listen to soccer live on the radio and forget all the daily pressures. The country of Honduras actually has decrees presented in Congress on a regular basis to declare “work holiday” during international soccer matches that occur during business hours. The Honduran government, all the way up to the President of the country publicly plea with business to give their valued employees time off for soccer games.
