Rocio Bucio - Vallarta Today - With the Keys to the City, four Olympic medalists, from the United States swim team, enjoy beautiful Puerto Vallarta.

The four Olympic medalists, Dana Vollmer, Matt Grevers, Rebecca Soni and Ricky Berens from the United States swim team will spent five days enjoying beautiful Puerto Vallarta, after having won eight gold medals and three silver medals at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The invitation to the four medalists was made by the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board (FIDETUR) as part of a proposal generated at the last meeting of the Puerto Vallarta  Association of Hotels and Motels, in hopes that the visit by these world class athletes will generate international media attention and help to promote Puerto Vallarta.

Frank Bush, Director of the U.S National Swim Team, the Puerto Vallarta Convention and Visitors Bureau Technical Committee, and the Board of Tourism have all worked together on bringing these athletes to Puerto Vallarta.

The athletes will be promoting their visit on their social networks and talking to their fans and followers about their experiences in Puerto Vallarta.  They were greeted by tourism and city authorities as distinguished visitors to the city and will be meeting with children and young athletes in Vallarta to encourage them in pursuing sports. They recieved the Keys to the City of Puerto Vallarta as honored visitors.
