Jalisco Will Host A World Boxing Event

Jalisco will present the highest competitive level of international amateur boxing by announcing the Golden Belt Series Tournament in the city of Guadalajara, which will bring together the best male and female boxers in 24 different divisions.

This will be another opportunity for our city to show its quality as a host of major sporting events, as mentioned by the General Director of Code Jalisco, Fernando Ortega Ramos, who made the official announcement of the tournament at a press conference, accompanied by the President of the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau, Carlos David Wolstein Gonzalez, and Marko Petric, from the AIBA International Boxing Association. The event will be held from November 28 to December 10 at the Code Alcalde Dome, with the participation of approximately 400 boxers in the elite category in both categories.

According to the competition program, there will be eight days of elimination rounds, followed by a break, and closing with a marathon day of finals in all divisions.
