pepe-baston-eva-longoria

Although we might root for a wedding between Eva Longoria and Televisa’s president Pepe Bastón, those dreams won’t come true for now. Yesterday, some rumors began circulating online that the actress and producer was ultimating details of the alleged wedding to the Mexican media mogul, and even included details of the ceremony. El Universal Venezuela was the first to report the fake news online, stating that it had been announced on the Mexican journalist René Franco’s show, La Taquilla.

They went on to add that E! Online had said that the wedding was going to be in Casa Aramara, a five-star exclusive residence in Punta Mita, Nayarit, Mexico. Needless to say, this is not true at all. Despite all the “news” websites reproducing the story without fact-checking, Eva Longoria herself took it to her Twitter to deny the rumors. “Why is everyone saying I'm getting married?? #NotTrue #WhereDidThatComeFrom?” She wrote on her social media account.

And let’s be honest, if Eva Longoria was engaged, the news would be all over TV, radio, internet and any possible outlet out there. Plus, we’re pretty sure she would be the first one to share the news with her fans, as she’s always done through her various social media accounts, where she keeps active and engages with her followers possibly much more than any other celebrity. With that said, we would love that fake story to be real sometime soon!

If (when) they get married, they would be the hottest Latino couple ever! Not only is Eva beautiful, smart, interested in her Mexican roots, fighting for the immigration reform and a talented actress, producer and businesswoman; Pepe is also a very eligible man. He runs Mexico’s biggest media company, he’s business savvy, very handsome and stylish. The two of them are not only a power couple, but also a gorgeous one! And to take our imagination a bit further… just imagine their baby! Although for now those are our hopes, we can’t wait for them to actually come true!

Miami Beach fashion

The city of Miami Beach on the weekend broke the Guinness world record for longest-running fashion show, when almost 100 firms participated in the 25-hour catwalk marathon.

Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show – which was sponsored by Cotton Incorporated, an industry council – which started Friday night at 7 p.m. and ended Saturday at 8 p.m., needed the expertise of more than 50 hair and makeup artists, along with 60 models who displayed more than 1,440 garments, organizers said.

The marketing director for Cotton Inc., Marisa Barlin, who organized the event, said she felt "very emotional" because Miami Beach had "made history" thanks to the holding of this event in the city.

"We have been able to see the chemistry and the good atmosphere that Miami has with this great event. Breaking the Guinness record is something unbelievable, although it was tough, finally we've done it," Barlin said minutes after the show ended.

The fashion show completed the special registration procedures to enable it to officially break the Guinness record for "longest fashion show."

The event took place in the heart of Miami Beach on Ocean Drive and attracted the curiosity of many local residents and tourists who were able to enjoy the show, which was also attended by pop singer Jason Derulo and DJ Trey Smith, the son of actor Will Smith.

Kris Jenner’s friendship with Justin Bieber’s co-manager Corey Gamble has reportedly switched up a gear.

The 58-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians matriarch has been spotted spending time with Justin Bieber’s co-manager numerous times over the last couple of weeks. And now the pair are said to be officially an item.

"What started off as a friendship has turned romantic,” a source told E! News. “But it's all very new."

Kris was seen unloading suitcases in Los Angeles after a weekend trip to Mexico with 41-year-old Corey wrapping an arm around her. She has been coy about her dating life following her October 2013 separation from husband Bruce Jenner, but her social life has suggested she’s making the most of it.

"Corey and Kris have been seeing each other for the past three weeks,” another insider told the outlet. “He's a really great guy... He's so nice and a very responsible man. He doesn't drink or party. He is very caring about other people and generally just an all round good guy."

The visit to Puerto Vallarta had involved a fly boarding adventure with family friend Joe Francis. The Girls Gone Wild producer shared a video on Monday of Kris attempting the recreational activity.

"LOL!! @krisjenner trying to fly board,” he wrote alongside the short clip.

Following the return home, Corey was apparently not shy when it came to public displays of affection.

"They looked like a loved-up couple," an onlooker told E! News. "In the brief time they were loading up luggage, Corey put his arm around Kris and she reached out to hold his hand."

Corey co-manages Justin with Scooter Braun, and was recently spotted dining out with the reality star as well as attending daughter Kim’s 34th birthday bash in Las Vegas. Kris’ ex Bruce, meanwhile, is reportedly also moving on with rumours he is dating her friend Ronda Kamihira.

MIAMI –  U.S. singer of Cuban descent, Pitbull, and Mexico's Carlos Santana will take the stage together at the 15th Latin Grammy Awards, The Latin Recording Academy announced.

Pitbull and Santana, the latter nominated for the Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album and Best Long Form Music Video awards, will come on with an act that, according to The Latin Recording Academy, will be "unforgettable."

The awards ceremony, to be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 20, will also feature a duo performance by Spanish singer Miguel Bose and the American-born Mexican singer-songwriter Pepe Aguilar.

Miguel Bose and Pepe Aguilar will sing "Siempre en Mi Mente," a number included in the album "Pepe Aguilar: MTV Unplugged."

The Puerto Rican rap fusion band Calle 13, which bagged 13 nominations, and Colombian singer-songwriter Carlos Vives with six, are favored to be the top prizewinners at the Latin music gala.

Spain's Enrique Iglesias and the Cuban Descemer Bueno got five nominations each, while artists Marc Anthony, Jorge Drexler, Prince Royce and Gente de Zona each have four.

The Latin Recording Academy will launch a year-long celebration for the 15th anniversary of the Latin Grammy Awards in November at the gala to present this year's prizes, academy president Gabriel Abaroa Jr. said in an interview with Efe earlier this month.

"We're thinking about beginning the festivities on the day of the awards and continuing to celebrate them during the entire year up to the 16th anniversary," said Abaroa, who for the past 10 years has headed the institution comprised of members of the music industry.

He said that the anniversary will be celebrated "as it deserves," after the ceremony was begun in 2000 in Los Angeles to recognize Ibero-American musical talent.

spencertunick-300x235San Miguel de Allende (Mexico), Oct 31 (IANS/EFE): For the first time in history, 110 women posed nude as a group in Mexico for US photographer Spencer Tunick, with the theme of Mexico’s Day of the Dead.

With just a strip of flowers around their necks, women of all ages braved the chilly morning temperatures and fog Thursday covering this highland town in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato to pose en masse for Tunick.

This is the second time that the photographer has staged a photo shoot on the theme of death in San Miguel de Allende, a town he visits frequently, attracted by its colonial streets and buildings.

Early Thursday morning, the women gathered to participate in the creative project. The participants came from different cities in Mexico and the US and shed their clothing to pose on some of the streets in the historic city centre.

In the last scene of the day, Tunick instructed the women to lie down as if dead, surrounded by flowers, on one of the city streets.

The photographer rejected the suggestion that the project had anything to do with the climate of violence and insecurity prevailing in certain parts of Mexico at present, but he said that “each person can have their own interpretation”.

Tunick did not rule out staging another huge photo shoot in Mexico City as he had done in 2007, when he gathered 20,000 people for the project, but if he does it again he said he would use only 1,000 volunteers.

Tunick has said that his philosophy is that “individuals en masse, without their clothing, grouped together, metamorphose into a new shape”.

“The bodies extend into and upon the landscape like a substance. These grouped masses which do not underscore sexuality become abstractions that challenge or reconfigure one’s views of nudity and privacy,” he said.

His previous large-scale photo shoots often have juxtaposed the organic with the mechanical, positioning large numbers of nude people in front of buildings or other structures.

hispanic newspapers media

The Hispanic market is still a mystery for Hollywood and the film industry, eager to benefit from Latinos' growing purchasing power, continues to struggle to understand what is a diverse population.

Research by the Motion Pictures Association of America confirms a trend the studios know well: Hispanics like to go to the movies with their families, and they like it a lot. So much that, adjusting for their demographic presence, they are the most loyal moviegoers.

Hispanics, who are about 17 percent of the population, last year made up 32 percent of the audience for Hollywood movies in the United States. Whites, who are 63 percent of the population, accounted for 43 percent.

Blacks, about 12 percent of the U.S. population, also made up 12 percent of moviegoers.

This statistical bump is what has been labeled the Hispanic market, a generalization that covers tens of millions of people who come from different countries and have a wide variety of traditions.

"It is not a huge single market, nor is it many small markets either," Rick Ramirez, Warner Bros' vice president for Targeted Marketing, told Efe.

"There is not a single promotion formula" that works all the time with Latino audiences, he said.

Studios tackle this conundrum on a case-by-case basis, because each movie is a challenge different from the previous one.

"A Puerto Rican in New York is completely different from a Mexican in Los Angeles," according to Fabian Castro, Universal Pictures' vice president for Multicultural Marketing.

"There are some things that unify this market such as language, food, their interest in some sports, religion," he said.

Another key factor is the Spanish language and, Ramirez and Castro say, it helps to have a bilingual cast.

"A particularly effective tactic" is to have Anglo stars such as Vin Diesel and Tom Hanks making the tours of national television shows in Spanish, Castro said.

ap hillary clinton oscar de la renta ll 130604 wmain
Legendary fashion designer Oscar de La Renta has died, a family member told ABC News. He was 82.

The cause of death was not immediately clear.

De La Renta, who most recently designed Amal Clooney's wedding dress, was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.

Born in the Dominican Republic in 1932, De La Renta left home at 18 to study painting in Madrid. It was there he developed a love of fashion design and began an apprenticeship with Cristóbal Balenciaga, who became his mentor, and then, landed a job with Lanvin in Paris.

He made his name in the early 1960s when first lady Jaqueline Kennedy frequently wore his designs, and launched his own label in the mid-1960s.

Since Kennedy, first ladies Betty Ford, Nancy Reagan, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush all frequently wore de La Renta gowns.

His creations regularly graced red carpets and his name is one of the best known both in and outside of the industry.

Just last week, Oscar de la Renta -- the company -- announced the appointment of Peter Copping as creative director.

"Our Industry has not always done the best job when it comes to changes in design leadership. My hope is that, in leading this selection, and actively participating in the transition, I can insure the right design future for our company and brand," de la Renta said in a statement then.
His New York based company was established in 1965.

George Clooney Wedding: All the Details of Amal Alamuddin's Oscar de la Renta Dress

Amal Alamuddin has revealed the story behind her Oscar de la Renta wedding gown, speaking to Vogue magazine at her final fitting before marrying George Clooney.

"George and I wanted a wedding that was romantic and elegant, and I can't imagine anyone more able than Oscar to capture this mood in a dress," she told Vogue. "Meeting him made the design process all the more magical, as he is so warm and such a gentleman."

Alamuddin went to the fitting with de la Renta and head tailor Raffaele Ilardo in late July with her mother, Baria Alamuddin, and sister, Tala Alamuddin. The lawyer and Clooney were wed this past weekend in Venice, Italy.
